STORY OF AN ARTIST
SNEHA MITTAL
Sneha is a dreamer and sees the world as a place of fantasy. She is a former fine art student at Lasalle College of the arts, and loves being surrounded by creativity. Her practice focuses on discovering the self and ideas of making the world a better place. As an artist, she feels responsible to spread awareness and likes working for society. Sneha deals with the idea of understanding self through ocean water. Her work is a reflection of thoughts evoked during her experience of looking at ocean water. The state of nostalgia becomes a segment for creation, providing her with a sacred space within herself.

San.at is an Urdu word meaning “kalakaari.” As the name suggests, at san.at we attempt to go back to our roots and use the conventional art forms and styles to breathe a new life to our cultural heritage through the youngest and most creative minds of our country. We want the younger generation to not only take pride in our traditional art but also feel connected to it and promote it.
For doing so we teach our students the details and technicalities of each art form but at the same time give them enough freedom to use their creativity and imagination to give it their unique style.
We strive to bridge the gap between the traditional art forms and the modern outlook by broadening the horizons of a child’s creativity using the most conventional means in a contemporary manner.
